Showing the results of work undertaken in the last couple of weeks and with many thanks to the 16SVT Society (owners of 40118) for the loan of the nose-end door with the headcode discs on it D5910 is seen today (below in the doorway of the Roundhouse and above on the turntable) at Barrow Hill. Complete with cab window glass, headcode discs, ladder, grab rails, doors and (on one side at least) the completed buffer valancing and wraparound, the loco gives a real taste of what it will look like when it's finished.

Come along and see the loco over the weekend - the open day is Friday 26th until Sunday 28th. It's at Barrow Hill Roundhouse, Campbell Drive, Staveley, Chesterfield, S43 2PR.

There's parking on site and a free shuttle bus service from Chesterfield railway station.

Entry is £17 on the gate.
