The loco is back in the Roundhouse now after the Barrow Hill beer festival and concerts. The photos show the work now in progress which is predominantly preparation for our appearance at The Greatest Gathering in August. The loco will get most of the flourishes / detail pieces added to the body before a full paint IN GREY UNDERCOAT for the event.
There's a very obvious roof strip around all of the removable roof sections which is being added. Seen below is the main roof section with the strip tacked into place. It was tacked on with the roof in position so that it all lined up nicely once fully-welded.
And then with a coat of primer applied. The overhanging bits (bottom left) will be cut off once the roof position is confirmed on the loco.
