We were asked a couple of months ago if we would like to attend The Greatest Gathering as part of the Rail 200 celebrations. Obviously we said 'yes'. We were told it could go exactly as it was at the time but we didn't like the idea of that. The paint (undercoat) was patchy at best didn't present the most professional image, so we set about improving it.

This photo shows what a couple of people can do when they put their minds to it.

All over repaint (still undercoat), windows installed, headcode discs fitted and working, door handles fitted and working, bogie brake gear fitted and working, roofs tidied up, buffer cowls fitted, cab footstep kickplates fitted, numbers and worksplates fitted, etc., etc.
