No specific work activities to report for this update, but three items of interest nonetheless.

Firstly, for all those who missed the loco's appearance at the Derby event recently (and for those who went and want to see it again....) D5910 will be on display at the forthcoming Barrow Hill Gala over the weekend of 10-12 October 2025. Tickets will be available on the day, but may be restricted according to site capacity. To guarantee getting in (and to save a couple of pounds) why not click the link above and purchase entry tickets in advance? The loco will (probably) be on its normal road inside the roundhouse and should be reasonably positioned for photos. Some of the team will be in attendance so you can come along as ask us in person what colour it's going to be and when it's going to be finished.

Secondly, the bidding period for the replica worksplates which were fitted to the loco for the Derby event has closed. All of the winners and all the unsuccessful bidders have been contacted now - many thanks for your support and for the generous bidding, we raised almost £1200 by this alone.

Finally, work has resumed on the loco build, albeit gently. We've started this week by moving all of the 'stuff' which had accumulated inside the loco into our new(ish) storage cabinets. Thanks to the DPS for donating these cabinets which were surplus to their requirements.
